This article claims Eastern Thrace is in Greece

https://greekreporter.com/2014/05/26/turkish-minority-party-wins-eu-election-vote-in-eastern-thrace/

This is absolutely wrong. !!!

East Thrace is in Turkey. It's the European part of Türkiye.

This article should be called Western Thrace. Because Western Thrace is in Greece and has a strong Muslim minority (Turks, Pomaks and Muslim Romani).

North Thrace is in Bulgaria.

Before writing an article like this, you should learn the geography properly, have a Look:

The article says the following: "The Friendship, Equality and Peace (DEB) party representing the Turkish minority, which is adjacent to the Muslim Greek minority residing in eastern Thrace, northern Greece, has secured the first place for the European Parliament elections in the electoral districts of Rodopi and Ksanthi, while ranking third in the regional unit of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace." There is a comma there because it is a summary of regions, like Northern Greece and eastern Thrace. And besides, what should the Dutch Wikipedia do about an article written by a Greek news website? exactly, eastern thrace, but eastern thrace is in turkey !, its the european side of turkey, so nothing to do with muslim greek minority in greece.
What have eastern thrace in turkey to do with greece???
Instead of eastern thrace, they must wrote western thrace, because in western thrace live the muslim minority of greece: https://www.eliamep.gr/wp-content/uploads/en/2006/05/Case_study_report_Thrace.pdf

...The border region of Western Thrace in the northeast part of Greece...

the error comes from the fact that these reporters read: east macedonia and thrace, from which they draw the conclusion, then it must also be called east thrace. No not. false.
the greek part of thrace is called western thrace.
East Macedonia and Thrace (West), not East.
And yes its english its international language. About such false claims in articles, Many people think incorrectly that East Thrace is in Greece because they are confusing it with Thrace, which is a region of Greece. However, it is important to remember that East Thrace is a part of Turkey and is not located in Greece. Greek Thrace is called "Western Thrace" because it is the western part of the historic region of Thrace. West Thrace is a region of Greece, while East Thrace is a region of Turkey. So, people who confuse East Thrace with Greece are actually referring to the incorrect region, as the Greek region of Thrace is called "Western Thrace" and the Turkish region of Thrace is called "East Thrace".

unfortunately people later asked such questions like this: https://www.quora.com/How-is-life-as-a-Turk-in-Eastern-Thrace-Greece

And that's the point.
