Elizabeth Lloyd James (23 December 1944 - 10 February 2007) was an American actress and writer.

Her family lived in Pennsylvania and Ohio before they settled in Denver. There she attended Lakewood High School. She earned a BA in mathematics from Colorado College in Colorado Springs.

She wrote the screenplay "The Born Losers" under the pen name E. James LLoyd. The film was made in 1967, directed by Tom Laughlin. Laughlin played the role of Billy Jack, James the female lead, Vicky Barrington. On the Film|Boards General Discussion message board, contributor phillindholm recalls talking to James. phillindholm writes: "she told me her name was Elizabeth Lloyd James". She wrote The Born Losers on *speculation*. She was a stewardess at the time and met Laughlin on a plain[1].

In 1974 she appeared in "Dirty Mary Crazy Larry" in a supporting role as a police dispatcher.

James went on to write non-fiction books (mainly for children) with Carol Barkin[2][3]. Under the joint pseudonym Beverly Hastings, Barkin and James wrote suspense novels[4].

She was a new media instructor for the UCLA Extension Writers Program[5].
