- Thank you, Tekstman. I realise that translating with Google translator is not ideal. The reasons I attempted this article in Dutch were as follows: Basankusu is a town in Sub-saharan Africa that possibly would never get onto Netherlands Wikipedia unless somebody like me made a start; Basankusu in in the former Belgian Congo, so I thought more topics related to Belgian history should be included in Netherlands Wikipedia; most Dutch speakers (al lot anyway) speak English to a very high standard - so I thought that someone might pick up the article and correct the translation. I'm sure some editors could make a nice job of it what do you think? Francish7 (overleg) 28 jul 2014 18:44 (CEST)
- Dutch Wikipedia could certainly benefit from more articles about the former Belgian Congo. But it is also true that Dutch Wikipedia is quite small in terms of editor force; nlwiki doesn't have so many volunteers who are versed in this topic and who have time to work on this. If you are familiar with the subject, it might be helpful if you could provide us with a list of titles of 'wanted' articles - topics that should have an article on Dutch Wikipedia, but that don't have one yet.
